Crystal Dining Information
Dining with Crystal is truly an elegant experience. Whether enjoying the sweeping ocean views and magnificent ambiance in one of the traditional dining rooms, a costumed afternoon tea or midnight buffet in the atrium or poolside hamburgers and ice cream, you are sure to savor every pampered and delicious moment!
Main Dining Room Policies: Crystal Serenity guests are assigned to one of two seatings in the main dining room for their evening meal, early or late. The early and late seating times can vary by ship or itinerary, but are usually at around 6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively. Dinner seating preferences may be requested at the time of booking, but are not guaranteed. Crystal Serenity also accepts reservations (available between 6:15 pm and 9:15 pm), offering the flexibility to dine when and with whom you wish. Crystal Symphony offers open seating at the main dining room, Waterside. Open seating allows guests to dine at their leisure for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests may enjoy dinner at any time they choose from 6 pm until closing at 9:30 pm (opening times subject to change). Reservations are not currently accepted on Crystal Symphony.
Starting November 2018, Crystal Serenity's main dining room will change to Waterside with open dining, with no reservations required or accepted.
Dress Code: There are two types of preferred evening dress codes: Crystal Casual and Black Tie Optional. After 6 pm, casual daytime attire is not appropriate. Shorts and baseball caps are not permitted for men or women. Crystal Casual calls for a dressed-up version of casual looks. Women’s Crystal Casual includes a blouse or sweater, dressy slacks, skirt or a dress. Men’s Crystal Casual includes an open collar shirt, collared polo shirt, button-down shirt or dress shirt (no tie required) with dress pants or European smart trousers. Sport coats are optional. A Black Tie Optional evening offers our guests an opportunity to dress more formally. Guests dining in the restaurants, with the exception of Tastes, are asked to adhere to the Black Tie Optional dress code. It is asked that at least a jacket be worn by men for dinner. Women’s Black Tie Optional includes a formal cocktail dress, evening gown or dressy evening separates. Men’s Black Tie Optional includes a dark suit with/without a tie or a tuxedo.
Guests can expect the following:
Cruises 7 days or less: No Black Tie Optional evenings
8- to 10-day cruises: Up to 1 Black Tie Optional evening
11- to 16-day cruises: 2 Black Tie Optional evenings
Cruises 17 days or more: Schedule varies based on duration and/or special events
World Cruises, Holiday voyages and Crossings may be scheduled differently.
